Op-Art Kaleidoscope Quilts are made without any templates or specialized rulers. the easy cutting and piecing technique in this pattern uses 17" squares (for which fat quarters are perfect) to make 14" finished blocks. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, guiding you on how to cut kite-shaped and wedge-shaped pieces using a 6" x 24" quilting ruler, a gridded cutting mat and a rotary cutter - basic tools of the trade for most of us!
This pattern also includes tips for designing your own Op-Art Kaliedoscope quilt with as many blocks as you like, for as large a quilt as you want.
The 4-block wall hanging finishes at 37.5" x 37.5", and the 9-block quilt finishes at 49" x 49".
