"Yankee Pride" is best summed up by a frequently used New England saying: "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!" (I never knew that was a New England saying ... I thought it was a Depression-era saying. My mom was a classic Southern Magnolia who grew up during the Great Depression, and she said that all the time.)
This "Yankee Pride" quilt was constructed from a vast collection of pink and brown fabrics, but this project would be stunning in any palette you can imagine. It's made with two different size Flying Geese units that are constructed slightly oversized and then trimmed to precision using Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper (tm) ruler. Can't you just imagine this quilt in a multitude of bright stars on a navy or black background?
